Valentine’s Day at Roberts

Mrs. Furman’s class celebrated Valentine’s Day by making a classmate smile. We created a cinquain poem bear. Each student was matched up with a student they do not know much about. The two students interviewed each other to learn more about the other student. The students used collected information to create an amazing poem for one another. They came out BEAUTIFUL!IMG_0771

Random Act of Kindness Week at Roberts

Mrs. Furman’s class had A LOT of fun celebrating Random Act of Kindness Week. Students learned that a random act of kindness is a selfless act performed by kind people to either help or cheer up a random person, for no reason other than to make people happier. Either spontaneous or planned in advance, random acts of kindness make the world a wonderful place to live. Students were asked to do 4 random acts of kindness during this week. The students LOVED to tell me about their acts of kindness!

Baker teachers and students celebrated Read Across America with three days of fun events.  There was CRAZY Hair Day, CRAZY Hat Day, a special visit from the Cat in the Hat, and Teacher Guest reader day.  Paraprofessional Diane Mason once again donned the Cat in the Hat costume to delight Baker students during a special Reading Train. A good time was had by all!
